Create Your Dreams was founded in 1994 by a group of committed volunteers. Over the next two years, we built our enrollment from 20 to 40 students focusing on the leaders of Boyd Elementary School.

Our staff and board reflect the mission of our program.  Our current Executive Director has been involved with Create Your Dreams since 1995, first as a volunteer, then as a program assistant. Our founders, the elementary school principal who helped develop the program in 1994, the second grade teacher who taught many of our students, and our original executive director all serve on our Board today and remain involved with our students.

Our annual budget is currently about $208,000 per year. We are supported by the generosity of foundations, individuals and corporations (see funders for more information).
